Continuing Medical Education
In support of improving patient care, American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and (when applicable) the American Academy of PAs (AAPA), American Psychological Association and Association for Social Work Boards (ASWB) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Interprofessional Continuing Education credits (IPCE)
This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive Interprofessional Continuing Education credits for learning and change.
Credits for professional certifications such as MD/DO, NP/RN, PA, Psychologist and Social Workers are forthcoming.
In accordance with ACCME Essentials and Standards, anyone involved in planning or presenting this educational activity is required to disclose any relevant financial relationships with an ACCME defined commercial interest to the CME provider and the audience. Speakers who incorporate information about off-label or investigational use of drugs or devices will inform the audience. This information will be made available to participants at the beginning of the activity.
Scientific Program Committee
This CME activity has been developed by AAAP’s Scientific Committee that meets once a month to plan and develop the educational sessions presented during this event. Disclosure information for each committee member is collected annually and is managed and/or resolved accordingly.
The content of AAAP’s 30th Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium is reviewed by members of a review subcommittee from within the Scientific Program Committee. This committee ensures that sessions presented at AAAP’s 30th Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium is balanced, evidence based, independent, and free of any commercial bias based on standards set forth by the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support™.
