Target Audience Statement
The field of Addiction changes frequently as new information becomes available. This course presents a broad-based overview of addictions and up-to-date information in the field of addiction. It is recommended for physicians, PA-Cs, nurse practitioners, and other professionals who wish to stay updated on the most recent trends in the addiction field. It is equally relevant to junior faculty and clinicians as well as experienced practitioners and is intended to help psychiatrists prepare for ABPN certification and recertification examinations in Addiction Psychiatry.

ABPN Diplomates get Self-Assessment Credits for participating in the 2021 Addictions and Treatment Course!
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed AAAP’s 2021 Addictions and Their Treatment course and has approved this program as part of a comprehensive self-assessment program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of maintenance of certification. This activity awards 20 Self-Assessment Category 1 CME Credits. The approval period is for December 31, 2021.
Health Professionals Designation Statement
Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance stating this program is designated for 31.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. This credit is accepted by the AANP and the AAPA.
