Apply for one of these prestigious Awards for AAAP’s 33rd Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium (December 8 – 11, 2022 in Naples, FL). All winners receive at least one year free AAAP membership and one year free registration to the meeting.

AAAP John Renner Award

Given to medical students, residents, and fellows who are interested in learning about substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders.

Winners receive one year free registration to the 33rd Annual Meeting, one free year AAAP membership and covered travel expenses to the 33rd Annual Meeting. Application deadline July 31.

Regional Conference Award

Given to residents or fellows who have an interest in Addiction Psychiatry, demonstrate leadership in the field, and are enrolled in an ACGME or another accredited psychiatry residency program.

Awardees receive one free year AAAP membership, one year free meeting registration and covered travel expenses to the 33rd Annual Meeting. Application deadline July 31.

International Conference Award

Given to residents or fellows living outside the U.S. who have an interest in Addiction Psychiatry, demonstrate leadership in the field, and are enrolled in an ACGME or another accredited psychiatry residency program.

Awardees receive one free year AAAP membership, one year free meeting registration to the 33rd Annual Meeting and covered travel expenses to the 33rd Annual Meeting. Application deadline July 31.

Early Career Addiction Psychiatry Award

Given to residents, fellows or early career psychiatrists. Awardees are chosen based on the quality of original research in the field of substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders.

The awardee will present their work at the annual meeting, receive one year AAAP membership, one year free registration to the 33rd Annual Meeting and covered travel expenses to the 33rd Annual Meeting. Application deadline July 31.

Sheldon Miller Conference Award

Given to PGY3 residents enrolled in programs related to the treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. All awardees are formally nominated by their residency directors. Residency directors may nominate awardees here.

Awardees receive two years free AAAP membership, two years free registration to AAAP’s Annual Meetings and covered travel expenses to the 33rd Annual Meeting.
