“An Invitation to Change: Helping a Loved One Struggling with Substances” is a workshop led by Jeffrey Foote, PhD, Carrie Wilkens PhD, and Ken Carpenter, PhD of CMC: Foundation for Change.
The Invitation to Change (ITC) approach is a practical and behaviorally-oriented approach for helping clinicians and laypeople facilitate change in substance use. The ITC brings together ideas and strategies from several evidence-based therapy approaches, including: CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training), MI (Motivational Interviewing), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
