Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a behavioral model of psychotherapy. It is transdiagnostic and its evidence-base is robust. For example, its efficacy has been demonstrated in more than 1,000 randomized controlled trials across a range of clinical problem areas, including substance use disorders. In this webinar, participants will be introduced to the foundations of the ACT approach, including its central theoretical ideas and clinical procedures. Particular focus will be given to an ACT intervention strategy for addictive behavior.

Participants will be introduced to advanced techniques from clinical experts that can be readily applied to real world clinical situations in the absence of formal, intensive psychotherapy training. Interact with peers and subject matter experts on topics such as narcissism, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, and more.

The live training sessions are hosted virtually on the second Wednesday of each month from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM ET. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A following the session.

Throughout the year, we will premier many more esteemed topics and speakers. We hope to see you there!
